About

Growing up, I always liked to journal. If I were to count how many of them I went through, it would give rise to a number higher than 6. In high school, it was cool to hate on English Language Arts class. I jumped on the bandwagon and would complain with other people about how “boring English class was.” Even though I didn’t know it at the time, I loved to write (maybe it is a by-product of loving to read). I just didn’t realize it until I graduated from high school and was invited back for awards night to accept the most unlikely award–Highest Mark in English Language Arts.

I thought to myself: Where did this come from?

Ever since then, I rekindled my love of writing. I even started to do some free-lance editing to not only make some pocket money, but learn about the topics of documents sent my way. Then, I started up blogging here.

A year ago, I never would have thought that I’d be where I am now. You never can tell what the future has in store for you.

This is the “About” page of an Infection & Immunology Student and Biochemistry Research Intern who loves jazz-funk freestyling, bouldering, singing, piano-playing, reading, and learning Chinese.

This is the “About” page of someone who is always trying to “Level Up!” and hopes that you do too. Only good things can come out of it! 😀

I don’t know where I’ll be a year from now, but I know that I’ll fine. The outcome might not be expected, but I’ll be at exactly the place that I should be. 🙂

  1. Hello Musingsofamapletree,

I see that your About Page and Gravatar Profile are looking pretty empty, you might want to copy your About Me information from that widget in your footer, and paste it to your About Page here and to your Gravatar Profile (http://en.gravatar.com/funkymunkypunch) as well so that people will be less likely to miss that information. 😉

    Good luck,

  2. You are welcome Musingsofamapletree, and thank you for following my suggestions. 🙂

Yes, and if you need some help just ask. 😉

Here are a few other suggestions:

    1. I recommend creating a custom menu with links to at least your Home page and About page and any other pages that you want to be easily accessible to visitors of your blog and adding it to your blog (I have my Home, About, Archives, and Contact pages linked on my custom menu on my blog):

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

    2. I recommend looking over the Learn WordPress.com website to learn some of the basics of WordPress.com:

    https://learn.wordpress.com/

    3. I recommend following the official WordPress.com News blog for WordPress.com news and new themes et cetera, and maybe the official The Daily Post blog for blogging inspiration and tips:

    https://en.blog.wordpress.com/

    https://dailypost.wordpress.com/

    4. The WordPress.com Support pages offers information on most things on WordPress.com so I recommend using it to search for information about various parts of WordPress.com, it has helped me many times, and it is very helpful when trying to help others because you can just give them a link to the support page for whatever topic they need help with:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/

    5. If you ever need to contact the WordPress.com staff to report bugs, ask questions, or give feedback then I recommend contacting them through their contact page (type the topic of your question and press enter, scroll down and click on the box that says Get In Touch With Support, and then you will either get to chat with support or an option to send them a message that they will reply to by email) or by email:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

    help@wordpress.com

Anyway, those are just a few suggestions (sorry for the overload :D), and feel free to ask if you ever need help.

    Good luck,
    -John Jr
