Sometimes, I feel like the world is moving faster than me. Sometimes, it seems like everything is a race. It even starts to wear me down… but then, I realize that I don’t have to rush to catch up. I look at where I am right now and realize that I am at a great place already. If I move, it will be at my own speed.
This poem is about leaving the hubbub of the city and reconnecting with nature. For me, it embodies my desire to break free from the surrounding collective mentality of “in-a-hurry”, busyness, and subconscious comparisons, to seek refuge in my own mind.
